The Philly Otaku is a growing group of cosplayers in the greater Philadelphia, PA area. We come from all areas of philly, but most of us are based in the southwest and northeast areas of the city. The Philly Otaku enjoy numerous gatherings throughout the year. We generally meet about once a month on a formal basis. But we also gather on a much more frequent basis in an informal fashion, just hanging out witha group of members here and there. In addition to our gatherings, The Philly Otaku also sponsor trips to Anime conventions taking place in the region. This allows members to enjoy the excitement of going to a convention, part of the highlights of being involved in cosplay. We have a bulletin board forum, which can be accessed through the Forums link on the left side of this page. We plan trips and gatherings as well as discuss many issues relating to cosplay and anime in general. We encourage everyone who is interested in learning more about the group, to stop in at our forums.

Attention! Pre-reg for Katsucon 15 (2009) has officially announced a Attendee Cap of 6,000. Cons always grow bigger and last year they had nearly 7,500 attendees. This means that if you wish to attend the convention in February 13-15th 2009, you MUST pre-reg as soon as possible! They already have 1622 pre-regs at the moment so don't wait. If you come to the convention without pre-regging and they are full-up, it is your loss of the weekend. Don't be a Ryoga Hibiki who misses out.
